The Transfer template is used to transfer an animal. A transfer occurs when an animal is moved from one entity to the next. By recording a transfer, a record is generated of the movements of an animal throughout its lifetime. A transfer should be recorded when an animal is sold to a new owner. As well as when an animal is moved from one farm to another farm, feedlot, or abattoir for slaughter. For each movement, a new transfer must be recorded.
Certified Wagyu Beef is exhibiting at the Hong Kong Food Expo on 17 – 19 August 2023. The decision to become an exhibitor at this international food fair was made to support our members with their endeavours to export Wagyu. Exporting remains one of the top priorities of CWB and the Society to create price parity in the market. The experience of the event will be shared on our social media platforms. TheWorld Wagyu Conference will be held in Texas USA this year. The American Wagyu Association has organized a World Wagyu Conference Tour (from 24-29 September 2023), following their AGM & Conference (21-23 September 2023). The tour will include visits to ranches, stockyards, and historical sights.

The Society is excited to announce that our conference & AGM will be held from 6 – 8 September 2023 at Allee Bleue Wine Estate, Franschhoek. The theme of the conference is ‘Dive in with Wagyu’, and we look forward to showcasing some interesting features Wagyu has to offer. There will be no virtual component or Sale at the conference this time. As usual, we will present an Inspection course the day before, on the 6th of September 2023, at L’Omarins. The inspection course must be attended by all new Society members to avoid compulsory inspection of cattle in the coming year.
Our AGM is scheduled to take place, at 4 pm on the 6th of September 2023 at Alle Bleue. Documentation for the AGM has been circulated via email, please let the office know if you have not received it. The conference program and entry forms will be distributed shortly. The Society has 2 positions to fill on the board during the AGM. Please complete the board nomination form and send it to the office before the 28th of August 2023. Note that the form must be signed by two members to be accepted as a valid nomination.
